So Much Depends Upon

So much depends upon my pink alarm radio.Old and very loud.It wakes me up.

So much depends upon all my favorite songs. They make me relax.I listen all day.

I AM Poem

I am an actress.I wonder what my next role will be.I hear the audience clapping while we take our bows.I want them to love the show.I am an actress.I pretend to be different characters.I feel like I'm the best.I touch the imagination of others.I worry that I will mess up.I am an actress.I understand that others deserve the spotlight.I say my lines over and over.I dream of being a star.I try to do my best.I hope they like My performance.I am an actress.Text Color

Personification poem

The wind laughs day and night but no one knew why. All he would do is twirl around and around in the bright blue sky.He laughed a whistle laugh all through the neighborhood , so much he even got the clouds in a cheery mood. His laugh was so happy and sounds sweet as honey, and he finally told every one he thought the trees looked funny.

Poem Essay

People think that the poem ''Learning to Dance in the Rain''doesn't really mean anything because it's short. It's actually a great poem. This is a good poem because it uses poetic devices, has good sound with rhyme and similes and personification. This poem uses some imagery but not a lot."Learning to Dance in the Rain" is also a great poem because it can send a message or a new perspective.
First, this poem has good sound. It uses rhyme, simile, and personification which are two important poetic devices. For example,it rhymes "disabled" with"unable".Also, a simile is used saying that life troubles are "like a storm".Lastly, personification is used saying that success, failure, and happiness all depend upon each other.Second, this poem is a good one but I think it could use more imagery. The only imagery in this poem is when it says"the troubles of the world fall on the head."and that's touch.I would like for the poet to just be more specific mostly about what things look like or feel like.
Lastly, this poem could send a message or a new perspective. To me, this poem is saying to try to make something good out of a bad situation and you can't just wait for your troubles to be gone. This poem could send a new perspective on life troubles. Most people think that when something bad happens, every thing else is ruined. This poem could actually change peoples' minds.
In conclusion,''Learning to Dance in the Rain'' is a great poem it sends a message and also makes you think differently. It uses the poetic devices of rhyme, simile, and personification. This poem should have more imagery to make it better. Also, it sends a message to readers.Lastly,I love this poem because it can really make you think and it's inspiring.

What The Election Meant To Me

The election meant a lot to me because every one I know wanted Barack Obama to win.My parents also voted for him. When I found out that Obama won, I was so happy because now the whole country can have a better change. When the campaigns first started,I didn't really care about who won because I didn't know a lot about Barack Obama and I would be happy either way because someone different would be the president. As I found out more about him,I wanted him to win.I was so glad that he won because I watched the whole election on election day and the whole time I was hoping he would win.If John Mccain would have won it would have been like any other election, but since Barack Obama won it can be more historic and I can tell people about it when I'm older and tell them I was there when he won and I could hear people screaming and honking the horns on their cars and everyone was so excited about it.

Final Draft Animal Farm Essay

In Animal Farm, the way characters respond to stories has a strong connection to their ability to survive. The animals on the farm are affected in different ways by the end of the story because all the animals either believed Squealer's lies or think about them more. Squealer always twists stories around.First, he lies about the law that the animals made against beds. The real law was that no animal was allowed to sleep in a bed.Squealer lies and on page 80 he says''a bed is merely a place to sleep in surely you don't suppose there was ever a ruling against beds!''.Next, squealer lies about why the pigs took the apples and milk. The milk and apples were supposed to be for everyone.Squealer says that the pigs took the milk because they need it for brain work but they actually stole the milk and apples. Then squealer lies about all animals being equal. All the animals on the farm are supposed to be equal.Squealer changes all the commandments and makes just one and it says''All animals are equal but some are more equal than others''.In conclusion, the way Squealer lies makes him stronger.
Snowball is honest about the stories he tells to the other animals.First, after Old Major dies, snowball takes over and everything is going good. All the animals were equal and Snowball didn't try to make himself seem better than anybody else.Snowball cared about everybody else's opinion so they all could live easier.Second Snowball wanted to do the windmill so it could provide electricity and the animals wouldn't have to work as much.He made a plan out so everyone could have something to do.Boxer started saying ''I will work harder.'' and would sometimes work by himself.Snowball never made the animals overwork. The animals always worked harder when Snowball was in charge. All the animals got enough food so no one was too hungry.
Boxer believes all the stories that Squealer and Napoleon told.First They know Boxer will believe everything because they know he's not smart. When the commandments changed, Boxer didn't really notice because he can't remember the commandments being any different.Napoleon makes the animals work harder and and Boxer starts to say ''Napoleon is always right!''.Second, Napoleon takes advantage of Boxer because he is a really strong horse. They made him work for a longer time than he was supposed to.When he got injured, he was sent to a slaughter house, but Squealer lied and said he died in a hospital while he was being taken care of.Lastly, Boxer is not equal to Squealer and Napoleon.Squealer and Napoleon get to drink alcohol and walk on their hind legs. Then they took down all the commandments and put up on that said ''All animals are equal but some are more equal than others.''In conclusion, because the story mastered Boxer, he couldn't speak for himself.

Animal Farm

I think the pigs are most responsible for their rise to power. One reason I think so is because it seemed like the pigs took advantage of the other animals.I know the pigs took advantage of the rest of the animals because in the story, Squealer changes the law about never sleeping in beds to ''no animal shall sleep in a bed with sheets''.I also know the animals were taken advantage of because of how Napoleon rules over them after the animals trust him.In the story it says ''Napoleon now never spoken of simply as Napoleon, he was referred to in a formal style as ''our leader Comrade Napoleon''.Another reason I think so is because the pigs took most of the control in the first place. When Jones was overthrown, the pigs took over automatically. They never found out if the other animals had something to say or suggest. My last reason that the pigs are responsible is because they lied to the other animals to get the power.Squealer told everyone that Snowball was bad so him and Napoleon could look better.Once the pigs were in power they changed everything around to get more power

IRB post

I finished reading my independent reading book called ''One In A Million'' written by Kimberla Lawson Roby.It was about a woman who had won the lottery and won 55 million dollars. she wanted to tell her boyfriend but before she could, he broke up with her.Soon she found out that he was with someone else and they had not talked in a while. Two of her cousins showed up at her house even though they had not talked in a while.they had only came over to ask her for money to fix his car.when she told him she would not give them money, they tried to make her feel guilty about it.She told the rest of her family about her winning the money and told them not to tell anyone else about it.But in the middle of a press conference that was on t.v., her ex boyfriend showed up because he knew about the money.she wondered how he could know if the rest of her family promised not to tell about the money. In the end she divided the money up between her family and charity.

In ten years I will be

I guess that in ten years, I will have the job that I want and I will be in college.I'm sure that I
will still enjoy being in the theater and having auditions as much as I do now.In ten years, I would not be in theater camp anymore so I guess I'd just do what I want.
